How To Stay Positive in this Pandemic (coronavirus)?

There is no blinking at the fact that psychological and mental orders pose more threat to people than coronavirus in these times. The whole world is gripped in fear and anxiety. Nobody knows what is going to happen next ? and will this crisis pass over in the near future? These are some of the questions looming on almost every sane mind. Amid all this ruckus, the spread of fake news like wildfire is aggravating the situation further. Admittedly, this phenomenon is doing irreparable damage to sensitive minds. On top of it, an irresponsible role played by media channels is compounding all this. In the race of ratings, they are selling fear and despondence. They do not realize how it looks like while passing empty streets and roads which once were crowded with vehicles and people, and how their sensationalism is taking a toll on the psychological health of the public. The persistent news about the proliferation of positive cases is already causing mass panic and overwhelming stress. Most importantly, what is more imperative in these testing times is to remain positive and avoid certain things that bring negativity and fear. And how to stay calm in a pandemic? However, the question arises: is it really possible when things are so despondent and bleak? The answer is certainly big YES. Remember one thing always: no matter how long the night, the dawn will break eventually. Before proceeding to remedies, it is highly essential to explode some myths around this so-called deadly virus.

Is it really a deadly virus?

Not at all. It is as harmful as other viruses. As for its deadliest tag, let me tell you it is not deadly unless there are premorbid chronic conditions. When you put things in another perspective, and observe some figures. You might come to know that more and more people are recovering while only a scant figure falls prey to an unfortunate end. Take a sigh of relief now, as 97 percent of the people recover, according to data. Moreover, you must know this is not a novel thing. It has been happening over the centuries. The world has seen the worst viruses. Spanish influenza, chickenpox and influenza pandemic, to name a few, were wreaking havoc then. However, the best part was that their medicines were discovered and their genie was put in the bottle for once and all. On the whole, one may get here motivating line: "if a pandemic was really the end of the world, we would not have existed even today."

Let us now move to some effective remedies to stay positive and relaxed in this pandemic.

1. Stay socially connected (virtually) while Maintaining social gap (physically)

Maintaining long isolation can have a daunting effect on nerves, as it is also researched. it is better to connect with your friends and relatives via social media. it will relieve you off from stress

2. Limit your exposure to news about COVID-19

All you need to do is now to bring more positivity rather than negativity, and it can be done by restricting your access to news. Also, follow those pages and channels that entertain you.

3.keep opinion, and be man of facts

Getting information from credible sources is the best way. Do not follow and rely on bogus WhatsApp and Facebook forwards. Along with this also learn the real symptoms and repercussions of this virus if someone is contracted.

4. Do exercise

Breathing exercises, progressive muscular, and meditation largely help in alleviating psychological tension. Doing such will release endorphins - kind of hormone-related to elevating mood and reducing stress level.

5.Set a routine

Set a schedule for the entire day. One can read, watch serials, talk with beloved ones, cook and so on. what is more important is that each task must have a dedicated portion of time. It will help in preventing monotony.

6. Enhance your skills

Through this, one can have an appealing resume. those students interested in the technology field can join various online classes, besides learning different software related to their fields. It will add to their skills, and in turn, will benefit in their career.

7. Inculcate new interests or hobby.

This is the best time to learn any new thing which you had been long craving for. It may be book reading, writing stories, and even gardening. Who knows your hidden talent might surface.

8. Improve your lifestyle and pay attention to self-care

Work on your routines and hobby. Discard those that are harmful. Avoid eating junk food, and adapt to hygiene foods. Focus more on your mental bringing, fitness, skincare and so forth

This time can be a blessing for many of us, if utilized correctly. No doubt, it has brought us closer to our family. It has given us a sense of responsibility and self-importance. One should see the positive side of it. This storm will pass by sooner or later. what will be remembered most in the future will be our response to it and how did we fight to this menace as a whole?
